Making ourselves into birds nests at the Gallery of Modern Art
Painting our planes

The first week in January Mummy started her new job working Thursdays and Fridays. So Dad was in charge and we did lots of things. Lots similar to what Mum does with us but just with Dad. We went to the Library, the shops, Bunnings and the park. We even painted our aeroplanes and then flew them they go like beauties. We also went to the Gallery of Modern Art one day when Mum wasn't working. There was all sorts of great stuff there to do. Like building with all the white lego, making birds nests, going on the giant slide.

Christmas 2010 in Bowral

Ok blogger doesn't like me and has put these first 2 photos out of order I can't move them so sorry

Christmas Morning with our lovely presents thanks Santa and Nana
Emma and Nana
First we had to get there and there was luggage and trolleys to negotiate

Emma's first experience in the Qantas Club having a little snack with her baby it was also her first and last FREE flight and there is definitely a reason why you buy seats for 2 year olds as she didn't like sitting on Mummy's lap at all and wanted her own space and tray table. No pictures of the flight as it was too cramped
Morning Tea down Bowral on Christmas Eve and yes that is a melting moment she is shoving in her mouth.

Christmas Day at Aunty Sue, Uncle Paul's, Mitch and Sean's place
With Dash on Christmas Day, even Dash dressed up in the Christmas Spirit she also tried to eat an oyster shell which was a bit scary and dangerous but Uncle John and Sean got it off her and made sure she was ok.

Diesel Trains Sunday

QR National Diesel trains to be precise. This morning we had lovely pancakes made by Dad and then he went out and did the lawns and gardening and Mummy cleaned all the floors that we kids mess up all the time. While they were working I was working hard building a Diesel train I had to work it out myself as I had limited instructions (I was using the Diesel train specification sheet that my Uncle gave me) anyway I am very very pleased with the finished Diesel Train he runs like a beauty and Mum and Dad both say that it looks fantastic. I think that Dad even said it was AWESOME. I hope you like looking at it too. Love Hamish

Diesel Trains are my favourite trains these days and I really really love Lego too.

A bit about Emma

Well Emma is now 23 months old and her 2nd Birthday is getting close. As soon as she is 2 she can start at Daycare which Hamish calls Baby Kindy so I think that is what we will all call it. She will go Thursday and Fridays when I go to work. Until then she spends those days with Papa and Mama and she loves them. They get up to all sorts of adventures and chores. She wins over all the people at the shops when they grocery shop and even scores balloons along the way from the odd store. On the other days that Hamish is at school she plays and helps Mummy with all the things that she has to do. She even got up to a little garden work on Tuesday while the boys were out. We have named her the Chainsaw Fairy and seeing she is a fairy she obviously doesn't need to worry about safety equipment. Her wings will protect her. She still just loves skirts and dresses and hardly ever wears pants we think that Daycare might prefer her to wear pants so Mummy is trying to wean her off her skirts, dresses and bling. The skirt she is wearing to chainsaw is her favourite and it is getting a little small for her now we might have to hide it next time it gets washed but the problem is she pulls it off the washing line to wear it as soon as she sees it (that might be a good reason to do washing at night time when she is sleeping).
Here she is riding her bike in the rain in a white linen dress

Emma and some of her babies reading stories about you guessed it TRAINS (Hamish is educating her well all about trains.

More excitement on Day 2 of Grade 1.......Hamish lost his first tooth

After quite sometime of living with a wiggly tooth and last weekend with a very wobbly, wiggly tooth it finally came out on Tuesday morning. According Hamish "He bashed it out" anyway it is out and the tooth fairy visited and left $2. Now the nicest thing about this is that Hamish actually donated that $2 on Friday at school as they have adopted a school near Dalby that was serverely damaged in the QLD Floods so every Friday from now till the end of February the McDowall School Children are fundraising and collecting books for their adopted school Warra Warra State School. He hopes that the Grade 1 class at Warra Warra will be able to buy a Marble Run just like they have in his classroom as that is his favourite thing about Grade 1.

First Day of Grade 1 for Hamish

Our beautiful, handsome, funny and clever little man started Grade 1 on Monday and he was up and ready for school in record time. I think he was rather keen to see his friends as the holidays were fun but due to the tragic weather we experienced they put a stop to lots of our plans for fun and adventure. Here is a few pictures of the first day of Grade 1.

Confession Time I am a hopeless Blogger

Sorry my poor blog has been neglected for months. We have been doing lots of wonderful and fun things we just haven't been sharing them with you on our blog. So here we go I will start from now January 2011 and perhaps if I can go back and add a few things we did late last year. I will see how I go at keeping up to date this year.
